Yes but HOW do you fix PASV?

Set a port range in the FTP program. Forward port 21 (Or the FTP port) and forward the FTP port range you specified in the program.

And more the the point, why did it suddenly "un-fix" itself? It'd been working fine for about 3 or 4 months and I haven't touched the FTPd conf file or screwed with the router in about a month.

Well, at least finally I'm not limited to commandline FTP...I was able to get in with FFX before, but a browser usually isn't a good FTP client.

A browser can't do PASV mode. Which might help. :P

PFTPd has "PassivePorts" option set to the suggested default (The IANA ephemeral ones) and they're forwarded to that machine. Port 21 is also forwarded (duh, but still).
