I've heard WS2003 with SP1 will be WS2005. Is it true?

  • I think the only time that happened was some XP MCE that changed to a newer year when you installed SP1/2.

  • Oh yeah, I just need to post this LOL

  • OK, I got it...
But why do you think it's bullshit?
  • Because:

    Windows XP SP2 /= Windows XP 2004
    Windows 2000 SP4 /= Windows 2001/2002 (Can't remember the date)

    etc.

    /= Means not equal to.
  • Try ≠ or the other =!. I destinctly remember XP MCE doing something with the dates though. However I will side with the majority and say that this seems unlikely.

    -Q
  • ≠ - not on my kb.
  • Look in charmap, it's not on mine either.

    -Q
  • Some various symbols to remember

    = is equals
    =! is not equals
=< is equal to or less than
=> is eqal to or greater than.

Anyway....that is total bullshit.....however there is something i want. Windes Server with Windes IIS!

    Man would that product suck.,
  • I prefer !=.
  • Hmm, I don't think they made a TCP stack, drivers, or a server or webserver. All they made was "Browser 1.0", which only read MnS HTML!

    -Q
  • Not equal: just use <>

What's all this about Windes and Maniasoft? (I don't really know much :? )
Are they just an M$ rip-off that hacks windows and makes money out of it? or are they a decent software-developing company?
  • Neither. They claim Windes ME is:
    • like Windows 98, but for obsolete computers
    • compatible with windows 98
    • a clone of windows 98
    • a clone of windows 98 for obsolete computers
note that they use those interchangably. it's all about 600K of very badly written GW-BASIC.
  • Look @ the bottom of this forum and you'll see 3 sections we had about them a while ago. They also don't like shipping products you pay for.
