win 98 on floppy

any ideas where i can find win98 on floppy as my disk 38 has gone corrupt. you could only get this version on floppy if you sent the coupon off out of the win98 retail box. i have the cd still in the shrink wrap - but that is no good to me!

ok, on teh CD, go ionto x:\win98\

then use winimage to format the floppy to 1.68MB format

now copy the WIN98_38.CAB to the floppy

that SHOULD work, but i never tried it (I dont have the floppy version)

Unfortunately it does'nt work that way, they changed the contents of the
cab files from CD to Floppy version as the CD is 105mb in size in the
Win98 installation folder but the floppy edition was only 38 disks total..

If you still need it I have a new uncorrupt set that I backed up using
winimage,, all made so they format the floppy & copy the appropriate
files ..PM me if you still need this disk..
P.S. i'm only home for another 2 days then out for 2 weeks.

win98_38 does NOT go on disk 38.... It's wierd actually. to replace your disk 38, put win98_43.cab on it..... Their disk contents are wierd. win98_43.cab belongs on disk 38.
