Another CPU Upgrade Post

OK. I have a question about my CPU. I have a Compaq Presario 5UVME2, which runs a Duron 900Mhz (Socket A I think) on a FIC AZ31, also known as a UWAVE2... I think it's possible to upgrade to 1.2Ghz, but I am unsure about this. I do not have any manuals or documentation about this mobo. If I can upgrade the CPU, would it be worth it? And how would I accomplish upgrading it?

    well you could try going for an athlon, then you would notice.

    Chances are, if it's a Socket A, then you would be able to fit an Athlon 1.2GHz in in.

    Most likely the older Thunderbird Athlons, not an Athlon XP.

    Well Im gunna look at the prices on ebay. Ummmm If I dont get the right one would that fry my Mobo or just that CPU? I really dont want to take any chances... Ill be looking though.

    Would this work? Do I need to worry about voltage? If I need to ill look in Compaq's (HP's) User Guide on the internet for this PC...
