You can burn a whole CD under 8X faster than it takes you to copy 1.38MB to a floppy.

Have to remember that Floppy drives were out before hard drives. I think a 1.44MB floppy tranfers files at 10KB/sec not bad for small files. Ofcorse why waste a CD that can hold 700MB for stuff that is just under 2MB?

I'll go look. I found one in storage in my Dad's car, too.
It's a PS/2 Model 55 SX. I'll have to look at the one in my Dad's car later or tomorrow.

I got a model 57SLC and a 56SLC. Both with 8MB RAM and 160MB SCSI drives. 386SLC 20MHz/486SLC2 40MHz 0verdrive
