If your avatar is hosted on the server "k6fish.sytes.net" or "k6fish.net", get a new one, or upload it to a newer server and change the link to it in your profile. The server listed above has been down for some time and as such your avatar will appear to take forever to load and then seem to disappear, which is really annoying.
