  • You're doing it from the CD right? Perhaps try running the 2000 Recovery Console and FIXBOOT and FIXMBR.
  • from a 2000 disk... I need to find it again... But is there any other way from a Windows 95 Bootdisk?
  • If you don't mind having to reinstall Windows NT4, try FDIKS /MBR and then reinstall Windows.

    I forgot that NT4 doesn't support FAT32!!
  • Ok it is working, here are my steps
    A: Floppy Drive
R:\Server CDROM Path with NT4 Svr

    A:\fdisk

    Press n

    Create partition of 2GB

    Restart COmputer
    Format C:
    Lock C:
    R:\Server winnt /b

and it works, well just installing now, but i will tell how it works out!
  • Sorry, I got thrown off by 2000, I thought you were installing that and forgot about NT4s limitations.

  • Ok it now works, and am setting it as a domain controller (just wanna see what it is like ;))
  • In another thread people are talking about FAT32 addon for NT 4.0

heh, i use NT 3.51 server as my domain controller...... i wonder if there is much difference between NT 4's features and NT 3.51's for domains... liek permissions and such
  • I don't really know... I havent tried both... But now I have to find display adapter drivers and network adapter drivers (gotta find that Network drivers disk somewhere)
