for those who want a light vaersion of DOS or so just use command.com! Grab a bootdisk from windows 98 and go

"sys x:"

where x is the drive letter you want to copy it on.

Great for anything and starts up immediately!

  • Actually I think I was like 8. I read like two DOS books on MS-DOS 5, and an MS-DOS 6.22 handbook that came with my 486.

  • DOS pretty much IS just command.com with some extra utils and apps, like a antivirus. I didn't even know you could get online with DOS.

    and i learned this when i was like 13 or 14.. but then again thats when i started getting into computers :P thats when i got the 286 epson and read its manual on DOS 4.01, hell i still have a book on DOS 4.01 and a thick ass book on windows 3.0
