an ftp question

I'm trying to upload a file in my ftp client (FlashFXP) and I get this:

I don't understand it. What could be wrong?
Because of this warning, my file is not displaying correctly. Please help.

    What are you uploading it to? (FTP server app?)

    and since when were PHP files supposed to be uploaded in binary mode? and I tried that. The error doesn't come up, but the file is still screwed.

    According to some readme I was following earlier it said they had to be, It was an idea I had that might work
