How do you run a mail server?

well the title says it all.....

i'm sure its easy peasy, but i don't know all the detials... so heres what i'm asking:

1) whats a good mail server app
2) how do you set it up

i tried the argosoft mail server thing..... it was ok..... now i'm gonna try the mailenable

Try Mercury Mail, I used that for a long time on my server, its nice and stable.

well I tried MailEnable.. seems good..... it was so easy to setup, i keep thinking i missed somthing..... but i've double checked manuals and such.......

right now the MailEnable thing is winning...... argosoft mail..... was good... easy to setup... i dunno....... i''m undecided......

so how well does mecury mail work?

Well, Zenithus used it for a long time before switching to NT4...

thats why i'm still considering argosoft mail server... its free version does have a webmail interface....

Argosoft's web interface works on my shity mobile as well

well...... i guess, since a webinterface isn't nessecary... i'll go with mailenable.....
