Installing a Mother Board
I opened the case and laid it on it's side, held the motherboard
over the place it goes and spotted the holes for the 8
standoffs I need. Then screwed in the standoffs.
Pried out the back panel conector plate that came with the
case and put in the one that came with the motherboard.
Put in the motherboard and started putting in the screws. I'd
already layed out the eight required but two wouldn't screw in
so I had to swap them with others until I got eight that fit.
Screwed them down finger tight. It's in.
Now I can't find where to hook up all the case wires. It says
the one from the start button/LED was on the bottom right of
the board. I believe it's the white and black wires that are
twisted.
The picture that came with it isn't very good or clear and I
can't see where it says to connect it. I've put it up for today
but will try to figure out where they go by tomorrow.
Anybody know anything that might help?

Also, see if the pins on the board are colored or anything (Mine were). The 4 pin one would probably be the speaker.
Finally, not all the case wires may connect to the board, I know the 1394 port in front of mine doesn't hook to anything.

PS. Moved to Support > Hardware
connector with two small holes. I had it plugged in three times
at the end of two rows of pins like a hard drive jumper but took
it back loose. That doesn't look very likely. I've got a picture I
can put up on the net and maybe somebody else can see it.
I wish you were here but my friend said he'd put it together for
me but I wanted to do it myself. I just wanted to be the blind
guy that built a computer. I don't want to be held back because
of my vision.

vendor. The connector is supposed to hook up at the
bottom right.

That black thing below the battery is it. It tells you on page 11 of the manual.

getting too late to get it back out. I got a better picture from
the CD that came with the mobo. I don't remember that little
black thing though but I'm sure it's there.
Thanks alot NTL1991 but I got the pdf manual off the CD.
This is one of those kits from Tiger Direct like the one we were
going to try to set up for you once on BlueSun's forum.
Thanks to both of you and I'll be back to work on it tomorrow.
I'm sure I'll have more questions.

and proceed to the next one but it doesn't look like I thought it
would.
The picture in the PDF manual doesn't truly represent what I have.
In reality the only pins there are some on the right of center of
the battery is 4 pins on top and 5 pins on the bottom like:
::::.
The line appears to be pointing at the second one on the bottom
but it's location in relation to the battery is off.
I'm going with the second set of pins in the group starting from
the left. I don't guess I'll know until I get the whole thing
together.

or

I admit that this doesn't look right for a two plug socket but it
seems to be pointing at the one that is red here:
::::.
I checked the other wires that aren't hooked up and one of the
plugs matches this exactly
::::.
I bet that's the correct wire for there and I don't know where the
two prong receptacle goes. It's white and black wires twisted
together.
I bet it was pointing to the whole block and not just to the
one pin sticking up and the other wire I found is the one for
the start button.
OK, I checked the other wire and it looks like it fits the USB
header but I don't have a front USB port. I just noticed this
darn cheap case doesn't have anything on the front, no USB,
no mic in, I expect that I don't need that wire to hook to
anything. Maybe I'll get it figured out.
