I tryed it. Seems like a pretty cool OS. The KERNEL is nothing but the Winodows NT 4 KERNEL. Also the bootloader sucks. I had to installed LILO bootloader for it to boot.
What I love about ReactOS is that you can use NT4 drivers for your hardware. I waited almost 4 years for it to be released and I thought it would be better.
Well it's an OpenSrc Windows NT, really. They FINALLY got it to start into a GUI (ROS Explorer ( http://www.sky.franken.de/explorer/ ) (Try it, it works on Windows!)) and right now it's pretty poor. You can try it at http://reactos.com/. or http://reactsoft.com/ for the daily CVS images and some stuff for VMware. It's not good for much now, but keep your eye on it. It's very alive and oneday will KILL WINDOWS BUAHAHAHHAHA!

PS. During setup, try to enter 2 different passwords
That would be called NewShellII which is a shell repacment for NT 3.51 that uses the Explorer interface, but its buggy and was never released officially, but in Beta form. I used it and there was no problem.
The only problem is that once you install NEwshell, NT 3.51 becomes 4.0 (NOT NT 4.0) and you cant upgrade to NT 4.0 becuase it already shows up as 4.0. And it cant be uninstalled.
Theres also Calmira, but is kinda dumb. Its not an integerated part of Windows. its a program, but you CAN make it the default shell. I dont know if it runs in NT 3.51 or not.
What i'm going to do is Install NewShell2 and then compile the shell from ReactOS then replace NewShell2's explorer.exe with the ReatOS shell. I'm going to do it on a PC thats running WindowsNT 3.51 Workstation.
