Desktop Recording

I'm looking to record the desktop of a virtual machine.

I've tried using the movie recorder built-in to VMware but it is laggy and doesn't record audio.

I need an application that will either record inside the virtual machine (in which case it has to run on Windows 98), or an application I can run on the host to record a specific window only (VMware).

Suggestions?

    The only recording program I know of is FRAPS, but I don't think that'd be of much use.

    You could try Camtasia Studio, it works fairly well for that purpose. I've seen a lot of other people capture from VMware with it and had no noticeable lag.

    It's not free, but it's easy enough to find a key for it.

    Camtasia Studio did the trick.

    Yup, told ya. It's a pretty awesome screen recorder, comes with an editor and everything.
