Mac Dual Partiton

I'm running on an intel core 2 duo and want to install windows 7. Any reliable way to go about this?

  • There are free alternatives as well. You can get Grub for instance, which is a very good (And very free) bootloader.

    Why bother? There's no need. Just use Apple Bootcamp. Does the job.

    Yeah, you have to "pay" for Parallels or VMWare Fusion.
  • If you plan on installing windows 7, Make shure your mac system is ligit 10.6 as you need the osx disk to install the windows 7 drivers,

    10.5.6 disks wont have 7 drivers
  • Er, OS X 10.6 disks don't have the Windows 7 Drivers either. They'll have the Vista drivers, but for 7 you've got to install Vista drivers (bootcamp 3) then download the 350MB windows 7 drivers bundle (bootcamp 3.1)
