Rebuilding 486 - need video card
Hey all you fellow oldschoolers. I'm attempting to get my very first computer back online, a genuine 66/486 with 32 MB RAM.
I've got just about everything except a decent video card and drivers for same. The problem is I've got a mishmash of boards out in the garage and NO idea what they are or where the hell to find software - and believe me I am no stranger to Internet archaeology.
Are there online places that still specialize in trading old hardware? I'd go to RL swap meets...if they hadn't all pretty much died after 9/11.

Fahrenheit 1280 (Plus) - eBay
There are a few on eBay for sale, take a look. Another good choice is this:
Number Nine GXE
But crap, I'd go for the third (1st irrelevant, 2nd insane price).
Again this is assuming ISA. BTW a great ISA sound card is the SoundBlaster AWE64 Gold, you can pick one up for cheap.
holy shit... this is beowulf's first post in nearly six years.
