Serials Page Enhancement
I was thinking of an idea to enhance the serials portion of WinWorld. That idea is that we adopt a user-driven system similar to serials.ws but with a more limited scope.
On the serials page, a user could click a link which opens a window, asking for the following information:
Type: (Operating System or Application)
Software Title:
Software Version:
Username (If Applicable):
Serial:
These would be listed in a searchable/sortable list - stored either as a flat file or in a SQL database. A ranking system or the ability to flag non-working serials would be high on the list of priorities.
The same requirements that exist for downloads would also apply; only serials for software no longer supported or available for purchase would be permitted.
I don't have the scripting know how to put this together, but I don't imagine it would be overly complex.
Opinions?
