Install windows 7 via usb?

I cant find a solid way to install windows 7 via usb,

I am buliding a mining computer and it does not need a disk drive and I do not even feel like pulling mine out of my computer so any one know how the hell I can install windows 7 via usb


I got an 8 gig usb and I know the system I bought can boot via usb,

and no im not geting linux or something dumb like that as its going to dual as a back up for my music and my itunes and plus stream music to my living room sterio system and also play media on the telly

  • Assuming you're on a Vista or 7 machine:

    Start > run > diskpart

    1. select disk 1
    2. clean
    3. create partition primary
    4. select partition 1
    5. active
    6. format fs=fat32
    7. assign
    8. exit

    Then copy the contents of the Windows 7 DVD to the USB drive:

    xcopy d:\*.* /s/e/f e:\

    Assuming D: to be the DVD drive and E: to be the USB drive.
