What Is the Best Version of Windows "Longhorn"?

I am playing with VM Ware and I just wanted to know what is the best version of Windows Longhorn. I don't want any of the early builds that still look like XP.

I preferred one of the very early builds, i think it was 4074. It felt like XP and had a lot of the features that got dropped from vista.

The beta builds after the code reboot (builds 5000+) were really interesting, especially once you trace how Vista developed in, effectively, two years.

By the way, I felt really old once I realized those were put out over six years ago.

Indeed. Hard to believe that XP came out over 10 years ago now as well.
