Internet Explorer's old versions

I know, you will not interest these good old versions of IE, but whatever.



Internet Explorer 1

This was first version of IE. It was actually a clone of Spyglass. Today, no one uses this browser except VM users.

Internet Explorer 2

This was second version of IE. It was same IE, with only improvements are advanced HTML support, which now outdated aside ASPX, PHP, etc. Today, no one uses this browser except VM users.

Internet Explorer 3

This was 3rd version of IE. It was very improved browser, which added BMP pictures(backgrounds for IE), page errors generated by IE, and many more. Today, aside from VM users, only few users using this browser, for nostalgia.

Internet Explorer 4

This was 4th version of IE. It was improved browser from IE 3, and introduced Active Desktop, Windows Explorer integration, panes, channels and many more. Today, aside from VM users, only few users using this browser, for nostalgia.

Internet Explorer 5

This was 5th version of IE. It was same IE4, except a few improvements that page errors shown in IE page, channels merged with Favorites, etc. Today, aside from VM users, only few users using this browser, for nostalgia.

Internet Explorer 6

This was 6th version of IE. It was same IE4-IE5, except icons are redesigned, and added a few features(some features later introduced in Windows XP SP 2). It's usage is 0,1, according to IE6 Countdown.

NB that later versions of IE is still used widely, and not written in this topic.
