Android 4.1

edited December 2012 in Software
Ever since BlueStacks came out with a way to run an Android VM on a Mac, I became intrigued with it. so, I guess what I've been wondering about is the possibility of a PC running any version of Android OS.... is that possible?

  • Therealatically'yes but it will lag more than my mom after sex and there would be little to no driver support
  • Android and the mainline Linux kernel are pretty close to being the same thing again. Concidering the Linux kernel has drivers for most PC hardware and Android has been known to run just fine on x86 CPU's, it should be possible should someone ever roll a distribution for it.
  • There's this project. It worked okay on my ThinkPad when I tried it out a couple of years ago.
  • I should try Android X86. I have an old Thinkpad that might do well with it.. Or maybe even try it on this. That'd be neat.
