An important part of the history of PCs. Lotus 1-2-3 unseated the original leader, VisiCalc. (Although it didn't help that VisiCorp made some bad business mistakes). The DOS version of 1-2-3 remained popular, but as systems started moving to Windows, most Windows users already had Microsoft Office for Word and PowerPoint, so it was hard to justify using or buying anything other than Excel.
For the last ~10 years or so it has been in the ranks of crufty old "enterprise" software, with legacy uses in some big companies.
For those nostalgic, I would suggest heading over to https://winworldpc.com/product/lotus-1-2-3 and grab 1.0a for DOS. (Or the PCJr cart if you are feeling extra crazy)

I suppose on some level I was aware that my mother had been using Lotus 1-2-3 in her profession before I was born, but I never really had full respect for how ancient it was until I saw your screenshot above.
All I can think of when I think of Lotus 1-2-3 is that Windows commercial with Ballmer.
