Another Windows 1 app

With everything going on around here, I thought I would share my latest find here first.

Micrografx Windows Draw 1.04:

Another application that has its origins under Windows 1!

I remember when I first started looking for Windows 1 applications a long time ago. There was just a *rumor* that perhaps Aldus PageMaker might have had a Windows 1 version. And now, so many have come to light.

Still, much archiving to be done. Many more titles that yet need to be preserved.

  • Its finding apps like these that keep abandonware fun, otherwise you get Win 1.x to install and turn on, lose in Reversi a few times, then never use it again.

Yeah, that goes for any operating system. Old and new alike. They're only as useful as the applications running on them.
  • Classic piece of software there! I am tempted to try it out myself for the fun of it.
  • I love the Unixisms of Win1.0 specifically how they use ^ as shorthand for the Control key. How many average Windows users would know that these days?

Great work SomeGuy thanks for getting this in!

A new operating system realistically only needs to access the internet.... hence ChromeOS.

Access to the internet doesn't mean anything without an application to utilize it... hence a web browser. ChromeOS is basically just Chrome running on Linux.
