Gateway 2000 Solo 2300: Replacement Battery?

Hello everyone, I have a Gateway 2000 Solo 2300 with a dead battery, and I don't know where to find a replacement battery pack. Is there a trustworthy place I can buy a replacement battery? The computer still works, but only if it's plugged in to a power supply.

Can't say i've heard of them, but i don't think you'll have any problems. I have a generic power supply i purchased for my PlayStation 2 Slim back in March, and it's still working fine.

Last I checked he's looking for the battery, not the charger.

Read the post wrong, my mistake. Yeah that seems awfully expensive, but believe or not i did some looking around and that's actually the cheapest one i found, although that isn't actually sold by Amazon, but by a third-party, the question is, should you trust them?

Old laptop batteries are almost not worth the investment, and $100 sounds normal for them unfortunately.

Generally, the only common cheap ones you'll find are for ThinkPads or PowerBooks.

IMO, avoid non OEM batteries. Unless you like shit battery life, bulging and fire.

Agreed, I bought a non-OEM battery for my Galaxy SII and it started bulging and causing power problems within two months. Went back to the OEM battery and despite it being three years old it still holds a better charge, and you know, isn't starting to burst.
