The .PIF files of Windows 1.x / Premiere Edition
Just for craps I decided to take a closer look at the PIF files included with Windows Premiere Edition and 1.01, and cross reference them with the current Winworld file library.
After all, if you are going to kick around Windows 1.x, then you should certainly check out the supported DOS applications.
Although many generic programs could run inside the Windows 1.x DOS environment, these PIF files represent applications that Microsoft deemed important enough to create specialized PIF files.
