Windows 1.01 video driver: BoB 16 Persyst video card.
Well, look what I just stumbled upon:
http://files.mpoli.fi/hardware/MISC/PERSYST/DRVR/
A set 1986 drivers for the "BoB 16 Persyst" video card, that includes a video driver for Windows 1.01!
That's what happens when you RTVM (Read The Vintage Manual) and do a bit of Googling. Apparently, this driver was supposed to be included on an extra disk with Micrografx Windows Draw 1.0x, but omitted from the version 1.04 disks with only a nice letter saying to call Micrografx instead.
There is a PC Rag review here: https://books.google.com/books?id=pDGnx ... &q&f=false
Apparently the BoB 16 Persyst card is designed for color video at 640*400 with 16 colors, totally kicking IBM EGAs ass, and works great with NEC's brand new Multisync monitor.
So, not much special compared to VGA, but hey, it's a Windows 1.01 driver!
