Windows Premiere Edition floppy disks on eBay!

edited March 2015 in Software
There are a bunch of interesting software items on eBay tonight, but I'll create a seperate thread for this one.

It appears Trueyanks fan is selling his Windows premiere edition disks on eBay. I don't know if he ever managed to dump the contents of those disks, but is is known his were partially overwritten with someones backup. It may still be interesting to see what the contents of that backup is (It could be a MS employees source code, a backup of another Windows 1.x set, or EGA pictures of cats)

Of course the unmodified Windows PE is out there now, but a real collector usually want the genuine article!

According to description on eBay, he seems not to restore (recover) modified disks.
  • Happened to look back at this and noticed that it never sold. He re-listed several times but always had a hidden "reserved" price. Either he didn't know that eBayers usually ignore reserve auctions because the sellers are just jerking people around, or he was just jerking people around.
  • Most likely had the reserve price stupidly high. Much like the retards listing old PIIs on ebay for £150+

    This is latest list.

I guess the seller stop to sell it.

But anyway, it is not so worth to bid this with $100
