Managed to use IE1 on Windows 7

edited March 2015 in Software
I'm actually quite shocked, because old apps often don't work on my PC since they are 16-Bit. I have a 64-Bit Windows 7 Home Premium.

  • IE was from the start a 32-bit product which was born in the Windows 95 Plus Pack. The 16 bit versions were backports. Given the fact there was no real OS integration until version 3/4 (depending on how you look at it) it's not really a surprise it still works today.
