microsoft office 4.3, access and ms-dos 7.1

i am having problems with microsoft access , under wfw 3.11 , that is running the dos from windows 98, ms-dos 7.1. it gives me an error when trying to access that it cant access system.mda and gives me an error that says unknown error and a number. Does anyone have a solution to get access from office 4.3 to work with wfw 3.11, when running from ms-dos 7.1?

Your root problem is that neither share.exe nor vshare.386 function when used under the Win9x MS-DOS 7.1. Off hand I don't know if there is any workaround for that.

I had a similar issue when installing Access under Win3.11 for the system.mda file. It would not create it and I never found a way around it either. I was installing in DOSBOX which uses a modified version DOS 5.0.
