Memory Adapters

Anyone have any luck with memory adapters? I have a couple of DDR3 4GB sticks from a laptop I would like to re-use in my desktop.

Last time I used a adapter was a 72pin simm to 168 pin.

It will be a while. I thought my main system used DDR3 but it uses DDR2. So looks like i'll need a new motherboard.
