VB 6 wont't install on Windows 2000

edited July 2015 in Site Issues
When I got the .iso image for Visual Basic 6.0, then when I tried to run setup.exe on my Windows 2000 VM, it simply said for any .exe on D:(the CD drive) "[put name of file here] is not a valid Win32 application.". What does this mean?

  • That means your ISO is corrupt or your VM software is mis-reading it.

    Try re-downloading the file.

Or if the issue is with your VM, perhaps as a workaround, extract the files from the ISO with a tool such as WinImage.
  • Thanks!I will do that.
