Need help identifying Gateway motherbord

i haven't got a clue as to what it is. all i know is that it's a Gateway motherboard' in the bios it says Gateway 2000 copyright 1997. also it has a Pentium 2 300Mhz ram is pc100 also
i know theirs different models of Gateway 2000 that's why i'm asking also once i find out the model i'm going to try to get the drivers for it

On the mother board is there any name of a company? Just look at the mother board for a name and google what ever name there is on the mother board that looks like a company name.

Update: I can tell you that the chip labeled creative es1371 is a sound card.

I looked up your BIOS version and It turned up with some interesting options. Although I do not know if the results I found matched what you are looking for... Your Mother board could be this: http://panam.gateway.com/s/MOTHERBD/ANIGMA/m00274/m00274nv.shtml but since there is no lead on who made the mother board this is as far as I can help.

ok so i found the sound drivers but the video driver is a no show

i would love to tack the heat sink off the video chip but i don't have any thermal tape so ya
also the computer is a Gateway G6-300

From what I can see a lot of people have issues on finding drivers for the video let alone most of the hardware. You can take a look at the PCI/Vendor ID and see if you can get more info on the video to narrow things down.

In all I think it's a Nvidia RIVA TNT.

no that didn't work but i did find the right drivers for the video chip it's Chromatic Research mpact2a/8rj Video Driver i took a chance and took off the heat sink here what it looks like i was able to stick it back it seem fine (knock on wood) heres how i found the drivers

only thing that missing thought is these 2 drivers i think its for the usb or something

right click on it and select properties and select the details tab then on the property list select Hardware IDs and you should get a PCI\VEN code. Copay and paste that info and I can find the drivers.

If possible, write down the BIOS string that is displayed during the boot process; it's typically located on the bottom left-hand corner. You might have to exit out of the Gateway splash screen that pops up during POST.

its an Intel 82371AB/EB PCI to USB Universal Host

Looks like your board uses the Intel 440LX chipset. Drivers are still available through Intel. I think this should solve your PCI / USB driver problem.

AFAIK, if you still use original win95, usb wouldn't works even installing chipset driver (as noted by intel my i810 chipset driver requires win95 with osr2 update). If you upgrade to win98 fe/se, you can install unofficial usb driver to support usb flashdisk.
