It's a RC, maybe WinWorld could carry it? MS is offering it for free.

It is curious they have it up for download, but not really interesting itself. Winworld does not host windows versions newer than Whistler in order to stay off of Mcriosofts radar.

If you go to the Details tab you see in big letters the word "EVALUATION"
It seems to be a 120-days trial version of Windows

I felt like downloading this and to see what it's like (even if it's just a server counterpart of WinXP) but I've got a problem... the ISO somehow can't be read by either VirtualBox or Virtual PC 2007 when trying to install it under any of these. I don't know what's going on here...

It's an upgrade build that needs to be ran from an already installed Win2k3.

There's no i386 folder.

EDIT: Also, you should look at the readme file at the root of the disk

This is appears to be (from the filesize, I can't be fucked to check), just the R2 installer.

R2 was never an actual standalone OS, you installed 2003 then R2 on top.

I wonder what the RC means then. I thought it meant "release candidate".

it's probably a release candidate for the R2 additions. (which, AFAIK, included SharePoint, POSIX additions, AD Federation etc.)
