GC message sending not working

In the "Contact" page clicking the "Send us a GC message" button brings up this error: This endpoint has been disabled.

What seems to be the problem?

P.S. The WinBoards link in the text above the button refers to winboards.net.

    I think they disabled direct messages, was it due to spammers/kiddies I'm not exactly sure, but it's something similar IIRC.

    As I recall Stitch disabled that back when we had the trolling problem. Although, one of his announcements said to use that to make file contributions... but I'm guessing that was intentional :P

    If those forum changes he was talking about aren't coming any time soon, it might be a good idea to go ahead and re-enable forum signups. When I post my software spotlights, I can hear an echo.
