Is DOSBox for Chrome real?
I was browsing the Chrome Web Store a couple weeks back and found this:
x86 emulator with DOS for Google Chrome™
DOSBox port to Google Chrome™ for running DOS games.
This is an offline app. No network, no sign up is required. It runs on Chrome 31 or later.
For more information about DOSBox, please visit http://www.dosbox.com/"
Is this actually the real DOSBox? I'm asking because there are some extensions for Chrome which install some malware on your computer that shows pop up ads and all the other bad stuff. I don't want to get a virus on my computer.
Thanks,
Erito

Keep in mind that Google is slowly killing off apps on every platform but Chrome OS.
I believe this is based on jsDOSbox or jDOSbox, which are javascript and java ports of DOSbox. However, I wouldn't be surprised if the source code was modified for use in Chrome.
I think you mean Android.
This thread is for discuss Video Game mainly.
I do believe it has relation to Video Games as it is yet another way to play older games and is also interesting to see it running in Chrome.
DOS Emulator is for running DOS programs, not for game only.
Video Game forum is for discussing about game mainly.

--- Emulation is fine in this subboard as long as it pertains to gaming, which DOSBox's primary focus is.
Yes, but you said before that they were killing apps on every platform BUT chrome; That's why I corrected you.
My b for not being specific.
