Lifting ribbon cable, stuck with adhesive?
Fixing an computerized electronic here, and I've run into an issue.
Rather than using PCB, the designer went all-out with fucking plastic ribbon.
They used a form of relatively weak adhesive to strap it down to the body giving some risk to just lifting it off.
Relatively weak as I was able to gently lift the edges and small extrusions, but not large portions, with low effort from a flat-head.
Now questions is, what is a recommended procedure for safely lifting off the ribbon? It has components soldered on.
I'm considering some adhesive remover, but that's a liquid.
