Windows 3 on the IBM PS/1 Model 2011

Does anyone know if Windows can be installed on an IBM PS/1 Model 2011? I haven't been sure and would like to know. Thanks!

Windows 3.1 is installed on 80286 based CPU, but no recommend to use Windows 3.1 on 80286.
(Recommend CPU : 80386DX or 80486)
I think recommend OS on 80286 is under Windows 2.x/3.0

Thanks. Will Windows run on 1MB RAM though?

Windows 3.1 requires 1MB RAM or higher.
(It doesn't run on Real Mode)

Windows 3.1 in Standard Mode runs every bit as well on an Intel 80286 CPU as Windows 3.0 in Standard Mode. The reliability and performance is no different between the two.

Surprisingly quite a bit of Windows 3.1 software will also run on a 286, although you may run in to memory, hard drive space, or speed issues.

Although in *my* opinion, such a machine would be much better of with pure DOS applications. But it totally depends on what you want/need to do with it.
