Borland c++ missing a disk...

edited January 2017 in Software
I'm trying to install Borland C++ 2.0 for DOS. When I run the installation is asks for a disk 7, but there are only 6 disks in the download:

  • Odd, it seems to work for me. Although they do really need to be redumped from original disks.
  • What's even more weird is that there is a manifest document and it lists only 6 disks. I think there are only 6 disks, but I am not sure why it asks for a disk 7 when I run it.

    The download has an install.exe and 6 zip files. I'm unzipping the 6 files into the root folder, which then copies over the first install.exe.

    I'm then running the install.exe from the zip files inside DOSBox. I asks for the install drive and I specify C. I verify the path. I proceed and it runs until it then asks for a disk 7, then the only option is to abort without it.
  • Here's another option or 2:

    Borland C++ & Application Frameworks.ver.2.0.English.rar

    Borland C++.ver.2.0.English.zip
    http://old-dos.ru/dl.php?id=5771
  • Might as well pick up the book too:

    ftp://bitsavers.informatik.uni-stuttgar ... d_1991.pdf

    I really think these should be added to download pages when possible.
