It's here! Toshiba Satellite Pro 4600

edited March 2017 in Hardware
I was expecting it to come in today, but it came in yesterday, only my mom forgot to give me the delivery slip from the mail because it was a busy night last night. We went to the Post Office and picked it up today.

(1st picture of closed box omitted because it shows my address and I'm too lazy too ad black lines over it in paint, lol).

It didn't come with the power adapter, but it uses a generic 15v adapter.

Right now I have a 12v adaptor hooked up and it works. Originally the optical drive didn't want to read for me, but it works now.

The I am thinking of buying a IBM Thinkpad 755ce from the seller and he said he will throw in an adaptor he found for the Toshiba.

In the meantime, one question, I do have a 16v adaptor laying around, it is one volt higher, would it be safe to use, or would even 1v more fry the thing?

  • optical discs are taking a while to read though, when I get a proper adaptor with at least 15v, that problem should go away, I expect at least.
