Windows 2.x release date
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/hel ... on-history
I read the article about "Windows Version History" on Microsoft Support.
Of course, no "Windows Premiere Edition" is mentioned.
But I wonder what the date "5/27/88" of 2.10 means.
According to Wiki, release date is also mentioned as "5/27/88"
Unfortunately no early version of 2.10 version has found.
(I guess early time stamp is 07/01/1988)
So is this information correct?
I can't say the answer is yes or no.
It is up to Microsoft.
Anyway, I don't believe the date "5/27/88" is released date for 2.10

Anyway, some of the Windows 2.x release dates are indeed very vague and could use clarification. Oddly none of the pre-releases have surfaced, and one may note that no "2.00" has ever surfaced. There was a box on eBay a while back that claimed to be "2.02", that was apparently a very, very short lived release.
There very well may have been unlabeled repackaging/respins of 2.10, which is more confused by the split in to Windows/286 (that despite the name includes 8088), and Windows/386.
The actual listed dates on the disks will be different and I think Win 286 2.1 and Win 386 2.1 had different dates.
In 2012, I found version 2.01 (386) on any ftp site.
But it was Not verified and needed verification, because I needed to check all files are ok.)
(It was dumped in 2011.)
I bought the Windows 2.0 (386) diskettes with good price in 2014.
Wow, dumped diskette version was 2.01 and verified finally.
Unfortunately the link still doesn't mention about version 2.01.
