[Offer] Microsoft Phone 1995

edited June 2017 in Offers & Requests
I didn't see this anywhere in the library, and i'm not sure how useful modem software is in 2017, but hey it's good to archive anyway. Those crappy CDs degrade faster than floppy disks =P

It was quite difficult to find any information on this software and I have no idea what it does other than it's some modem software (Run two modems on one phone line!!!) by skimming through the included readme. If anyone could enlighten me as to what the purpose of this is and the usefulness of its time that would be most appreciated. This type of computer software archivism fascinates me. People of the not too far off future may not even know what a phone line is let alone we used to run the internets through it.

  • I read this as "modern" software and was a bit confused at first. I did see someone posting recently about wanting to experience dial up, so maybe it'll find some use.
  • I saw from the picture that this disc is an OEM version. Any idea what brand/model PC it came with?

    Thanks.

Somewhat Offtopic Comment: Time to fire up that Windows 95 VM and install Microsoft Phone on it. :D

He also gave me his entire software collection for it, of which Phone was a part, and what is pictured is only about 1/3 of the entire collection. I'm going to upload Intellipoint 3.0 as well because the library only seems to have verison 2 and 4...
