Just thought I would share this here. There is an interesting series of videos about restoration of a Xerox Alto computer on youtube. The most recent one shows the unit running and even talking to the Internet! Remember, that is a *1970's* era computer.

It was a very cool watch.

It was interesting looking at the guts of a machine that was around when my parents were a little younger than myself.

That hard drive was huge, and the capacity was probably minuscule.

There's another channel that is restoring a DEC PDP-12. I don't know the name of the channel, but so far they got to the point where they could format a tape.
