Can't access windows folder in 98 after unofficial update

edited August 2017 in Software
This issue made itself apparent after I tried to track the unofficial service pack's custom boot logo (the one where the windows 98 logo is shown over a grassy foreground and sky) but as I tried to access the windows folder, the hyperlink that allows you to access the folder is not showing up. This problem did not manifest prior to updating windows. I'm not sure what I need to do in order to regain access to the windows folder.

That's why you should always back up before installing any update (official or not).
  • If you don't mind, before you uninstall the service pack, could you give me the unofficial service pack's LOGO.SYS file (at the root of the C: drive)? I'd like to have that logo on my Windows 98 VM without installing the service pack.

    Thanks.
