Windows 95 Install hangs on Preparing to Copy Files
I have a Gateway Solo 2000 P3C laptop, and I am attempting to reinstall Windows 95 on it. It originally had Windows 98, but it was missing explorer.exe. I then attempted to reformat the hard drive, which I did, and then I tried to install Windows 95 on the laptop and it just hangs at preparing to copy files, with the little drum animation stuck as well. I left this running all night while I was asleep to be sure, and it had the exact same thing this morning. I can still move the mouse cursor around and it will let me cancel the installation, but I just want to know if there is a way to fix this.
