Is the Cyrix mediagxm fully pentium MMX compatible?
I know the Cyrix mediaGX is not 100% pentium compatible and really only had 486 instructions, But what about the mediagxm? which is a mediagx with MMX instructions? I think it should be fully Pentium MMX compatible since I don't think it's possible to have 486 instructions with MMX. and I was looking the cpu manual it seems to fully support pentium instructions with MMX , But I am not fully sure. In the manual it does have a list of cpu instructions and I was typing in pentium instructions and they seem to be there , There also seems to be pentium pro instructions as well , as I was typing them in as well they were coming up in the manual.

Yes I have seen Wikipedia , it doesn't say about being fully pentium MMX compatible while having MMX instructions.
MMX is an instruction set. By stating the processor has it implemented, really means the processor has it implemented. So, by having MMX instruction set, the processor is therefore mmx compatible. Whether or not is 100% intel MMX perfect, it will work.
But the question I was really asking is , is the processor just an 486 with MMX instructions or does it have to have all pentium instructions to have mmx extensions? Since I was saying the original mediagx only had 486 instructions . Also there was three versions of the processor , the original Mediagx , the Mediagxi , and the mediagxm, what I know is the original only had 486 instructions, and the mediagxm included MMX. I know nothing about the gxi.
