MS-DOS 6.22 setup copy errors

Today, I managed to figure out how to tell my BIOS that I have a 2GB drive, and not a 504MB drive. It now recognizes the full 2 gigs.

However now when I go to install MS-DOS 6.22 it starts having copy errors with Disk 2, which is weird considering I never had any issues with these disk images, i've used them multiple times, and they've installed fine.

It even installed fine when the BIOS thought it had a 504MB drive, but now no matter which computer I write the image onto the floppy from, it always starts having copy errors starting with Disk 2.

I don't understand, as I said these are the images I have always used, and have always worked, up until now..

Completely erase the hard disk, then partition it with fdisk and tell me what happens.

exact same copy error.

I'll set it back to 504mb and see.

yup, it installed perfectly fine when I told it the hard disk is 504MB or under.

chkdsk says it is 527MB.

I ended up using Ezdrive's overlay program, it works.
