Windows 95 PCMCIA Ethernet Card Issues

edited September 2017 in Software
I managed to get USB working on my Thinkpad, now to get internet.

I have these two PCMCIA cards, the RBEM56G-100 that does both Modem and Ethernet, as well as the RBE-100 that does just ethernet.

Both have drivers for Windows 95 b (which I am running), however even when I attempt an installation, it either says it's not the right drivers, or it says it's okay, but it still doesn't work, as in, I can't access the internet still.

A few months ago, I had the RBEM56G-100 working as a modem, but my family recently switched to VOIP so I need to use Ethernet now.

I've tried drivers for both cards from multiple different sources, including the official downloads website, but still no luck.

In device manager, it says there's something wrong with PCI CardBus Bridge, and I don't seem to have the proper drivers for them, and don't know where to get them. I think this may have something to do with it, considering they are PCMICA cards.

  • You need to load all the bridge drivers first. Ones I find are for Ricohs, but I don't know your brand. Would probably work.

I've never used Windows 95, is it possible to produce a hardware id?
Those ID's are the first I use to find wierd device drivers.

    What is the thinkpad model?
