Dial-Up Internet on Windows 3.1

edited September 2017 in Software
I am currently, in the middle of setting up an internet connection for the Acros.

I have installed a 56k modem in it, set to COM3, Bannacom recognizes it.

I tested dial-up over VOIP on my Windows 98SE laptop, and it works.

I am right now creating a Trumpert Winsock disk with winimage, then I will need to make a Netscape 2.x disk, and install it.

I will report with the results.

  • I've got Trumpet Winsock installed, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to set it up.

I checked my Dial-Up Providers website, and they only give support from Windows 95 and up.

    Can someone help?

    Also,

When I use a terminal program and dial my access number that way, to see if the modem works, it does, however, when I make a connection, there is a really big delay between when I press a key on the keyboard and when it inputs on the screen.
