Of course that Whistler build would not be available on WinWorld, because it never actually existed, well, it did, but it's never been leaked before. Not even BetaArchive's FTP has Whistler build 2415. It was just a build for Windows XP shown in a demo ran by Microsoft in 2001. You can actually find more info about this build on this BetaWiki article.

Whistler 2428 is a Beta 2 build, and it should be at the Beta 2 section.

You need to set the BIOS date before installing to 2000-10-25

IIRC 2296 can boot on current date.

That's some weird stuff going on with these Whistlers. I had the same issue with both PCem and VirtualBox with BIOS date set correctly, but VMware worked.

Ive tried getting rid of the timebomb in build 2428
but ive no luck i tried with tweak nt and antiwpa,
but antiwpa just crashes the machine while
tweak nt does nothing

Windows Whistler 5.1.2428.1 not working in VirtualBox, but in VMware, it working. Because in VirtualBox doesn't have BIOS and Windows Whisler said "Your BIOS doesn't set a date and time correctly to install Windows" but VMware have PhoenixBIOS to install Windows! I think we need to set date and time in BIOS to 2000-10-25 to install!!

Hmm... you need download dos bootdisk type:date (your date)

clicking it with mouse during setup froze it. so I just stuck with tab and enter for now. (5.1.2296.1 Professional B1)

windows whistler build 2419 is not working even when I set the BIOS date to the correct time.

Builds 2410, 2416 and 2419 are Pre-Beta 2 builds.

Windows Whistler 5.1.2296.1 WinPE B1 is helpful. I just need a bootable pre-installation environment image based on NT5.x without installers, being used to modify system files and install some operating systems, and it's nice that it is an official version. However, it started up so slow on the PCem. Maybe the performance of my computer with Intel I7-7700HQ CPU was not enough, or the problem was caused just by PCem or the disk image itself?

Builds 2410, 2416 and 2419 are NOT beta 2 builds. They are categorized as post-beta 1 builds, meant to test the features planned for the Beta 2 build. They are intermediary builds and are treated as Beta 1 due to the fact that they are technically not beta 2. Anyone who says so is incorrect and has not done any research into the topic. Back when these builds were released, they could have been THE beta 2 build, but were not. As far as I'm aware, the actually first beta 2 build that was official was build 2462. Please check the sources on Betaarchive to find out what you're talking about before saying something.

My vm is not installing this copy of windows whistler. What should I do? I changed the date & time too but it is not detecting my virtual hard disk.

I’m having a problem with build 2416. I’m trying to install it in VMware but I get stuck at the screen Setup is starting Windows Whistler. Is there any way to fix this??

I've not tried 2416 in VMware, but I have it running in 86Box without any problems.

@josephwin It dosen't work. I have changed the date, then it says bad date. I looked in the cmd and it says Today! I tried to unconnect my network adapter, and still won't. Please, please, why?
