Microsoft Bookshelf 1987

LGR uploaded it to archive.org a few days ago. Its interesting because it must have been amongst the very first batch of software ever released on CD ROM.

  • Screenshots? Have you gotten it running in any virtual machine?
  • It's rather buggy in emulators. ALT-Left Shift does not always start the program like it is supposed to, it likes to freeze up, and does not seem to like Windows. On top of that, it is only really intended for use from inside word processors. Also ran in to some combination of CD driver and MSCDEX that did not like the CD, but the standard OAK driver and Win95 OSR2 MSCDEX worked.
