Pictures of Windows 1.0 DR 4 from BA

Someone showed up on BetaArchive that appears to have a copy of Microsoft Windows 1.0 Developers Release 4 from 1984. That is earlier than any currently available version. They have not dumped the disks yet, but are looking in to getting the disks and pre-release manual archived (with any luck the disks have not been reformatted to hold CGA goat porn). In the mean time, they posted some photos of the disks, manual, and release notes.

Wow, I do like the author's sketches. They certainly help to show what was going through developer's minds during the time. I hope they are included in the released scans.

This is really cool! I'm not usually all that interested in Windows betas, but having a version this early is pretty exciting.
